Dixit Odyssey Rules
Dixit Odyssey is both a standalone game and an expansion (Dixit: Odyssey (expansion)) for Jean-Louis Roubira's Dixit, which won Germany's Spiel des Jahres award in 2010. Game play in Dixit Odyssey matches that of Dixit: Each turn one player is the storyteller. This player secretly chooses one car. There should be either voting tiles (numbered 1-6, Dixit) or voting boards (numbered 1-12, Odyssey) with green or red pegs. Give them the matching tiles / boards + pegs, and you’re almost good to go. Finally, there are a bunch of cards. Shuffle them as best you can and deal everyone six (seven, in a three-player game). Dixit Quest is an expansion that comes with 84 cards. A standalone version of the game (Dixit, Dixit Odyssey, or Dixit Journey) is required to play. Dixit is an enchanting game that summons your imagination.
A storyteller chooses one card of its hand of cards and proposes an accurate theme. Other players use this theme to select a card from their hand which inspires them. All the cards are shuffled and revealed. Players must find the teller’s card. To score points, the theme must be neither too simple or too complex.
